Cooking Competition in Rural Bangladesh

The client organized non-profit Nutrition Fairs and Cooking Competitions to raise awareness on better nutrition and nutrition diversity in rural Bangladesh. For this I developed several illustrations and a mascot. These I used on a poster which advertised the cooking competition and gave an overview on the basic concept of food groups. The winning recipes were collected in a set of cards to be used for Nutrition education. Additionally a poster with basic food safety and hygiene rules was developed and printed.

The goal was to make the message as clear as possible keeping in mind that not all viewers might be able to read. We also tried to achieve a graphic style which appeals to the local culture. Since I did all typesetting in Bengali the implementation of corrections was quite challenging.
